One gets accustomed during election years to political attacks flying back and forth between candidates and between the two main political parties. It’s more than common to hear all manner of personal attacks since actually debating the issues is secondary, and where a candidate stands on the issues just gets lost in all of the partisan noise on the campaign trail.
Barack Obama has decided to hit the campaign trail in support of Democrat candidates around the country, most recently in Midwest states with speeches in Detroit and Milwaukee. But after hearing what I witnessed Barack Obama say on television recently I nearly spewed my morning coffee all over the place in disbelief.
Trying desperately to fire up the partisan Democrat crowds and touting his own pitiful record repeatedly, he may have briefly mentioned any of the candidates he was appearing on behalf of. But it was lost in all the self-accolades Obama always ends up preaching about. “I” is his favorite word, he is a legend in his own mind. Oh, and I guess Valerie Jarrett thinks highly of him too, as she taps him on his little head as she tells him how wonderful he is every morning in the house they share with Michelle Obama in Washington, D.C.
One of the things that caught my attention was Obama’s attempting to glom onto the economic record created by President Trump since he took office. Obama has started laying claim to being responsible for this current economic phenomenon that continues to surge ahead to new levels. Ignoring the fact that under his administration the economy was stagnant and Americans suffered for eight full years. Eight years of failure under any true economic measure.
There was a description making the rounds during Obama’s years in office that fit it perfectly. Barack Obama ruled over what was laughingly called an “Inept-ocracy”. He and the people he surrounded himself with simply didn’t know what the hell they were doing. Completely inept in so many ways. Economically, in foreign policy matters, and in national defense.
The other comment Obama has made recently that caused me to nearly choke on my morning muffin along with spewing my coffee all over the place, were his comments about President Trump, that he “just makes things up”. Alluding to dishonesty and lies supposedly told by the current Commander in Chief.
What immediately came to mind when I heard Obama’s comments was the phrase “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor”. At the cost of what ultimately will end up being trillions of dollars, that one lie told by Barack Obama will end up being one of the most costly lies ever told to Americans by any politician. And he said it with such a straight face too! Just like all the lies he tells the American people. And the list of lies is simply mind boggling.
For example – Without having any of the facts surrounding a particular incident he once told the American people that “the police acted stupidly”, putting on display his deep-seated animosity towards law enforcement. That jewel was followed up several years later by another whopper told to the American people, “If I had a son he’d look him”, convicting without trial an individual who acted in self-defense against what was a vicious attack by a young black thug.
Of course can we ever forget the lies of Ferguson? Starting off with “Hands up don’t shoot”, and more lies that continue to plague that community to this very day. By sending his attorney general into that suburban St. Louis community with an obvious anti-cop agenda he further escalated the violence that was directed at the police in that area. Police who were trying their best under intense pressure and scrutiny to prevent the carnage that was happening around them, committed by rioters that were at least tacitly approved of by Obama and his attorney general.
Coordinating their story to try to prevent any more political damage Barack Obama lied about what happened in Benghazi. Four Americans, including our ambassador were killed by terrorists on a rampage on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks. Yet Obama approved the story told by then National Security Advisor Susan Rice that it all had to do with a YouTube video, insulting the intelligence of the American people who knew better.
Then he follows that up with comments he made about Hillary Clinton’s reckless behavior placing America’s national security at risk by sending and receiving highly classified information over her private, unencrypted e-mail server. Obama claiming during a TV interview that there really wasn’t any damage done by his then Secretary of State. He was committed to lying to the American people to limit the potential political damage it might cause Clinton in her run for the presidency.
And even though neither of the Clintons were among his favorite people he felt compelled to help her out. After all, “no communist regime has ever willingly just given up power”, and what Hillary did was causing her political harm and threatening to undo what he spent eight years trying to achieve, the “fundamental transformation” of the United States.
But far too many Americans who work with highly sensitive information on a daily basis knew the truth, yet Obama bold-face lied during his interview. He was trying his best to help Hillary Clinton in her quest for the presidency. The most dishonest and corrupt politician in American history to ever run for the highest office in the land, rivaled only by her husband and by Barack Obama himself.
The list of Barack Obama’s prevarications is nearly endless, stretching way back to early in his first campaign for president back in 2008. Reverend(?) Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, birth certificates and sealed records all speak to an individual who was dishonest and completely unsuited for Americans to put their trust in to serve our nation’s best interests.
Perhaps one day the truth will finally surface about Barack Obama, and he and those who ‘aided and abetted’ him will be held accountable, but one thing is certain. Any complaint by Barack Obama that President Trump or anyone else is not being truthful should fall on deaf ears. Coming from the ‘Prevaricator in Chief’, it’s simply laughable.
