The world has changed.

The news is riddled with stories of school shootings, human trafficking, child abuse, hate crimes and stories of pain and suffering unlike anything we have ever seen before. The question is often asked; has there always been such horrific acts in our world? The answer is yes, for as long as there has been a devil, there has been demonic activity.

Has darkness become darker? Is Satan somehow more Satanic?

At the core of all that we see and hear is the voice of those who bring light in the middle of darkness. There are men and women who were brought to this earth for exposing and expelling the darkness. These men and women may not be corporate giants or well-read philosophers, but they will stand out in the crowd.

They will stand out with transformational messages of truth and hope. They will be those who understand pain all too well yet know the value of living past the pain and proving to the darkness; the light is far greater. In the darkness of the dark; the smallest of lights become brilliantly brighter.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Each of us has been given the ability to work with the light that is within us. In doing so, we create a divine connection with the Supreme Light, God Himself. As we work with the light, we are learning to walk in the light as He is in the light. thereby we keep fellowship with God and with our fellow human beings.

You may not feel as though your light matters, or that you even have a light, but you do. For some of you, your light is so bright you are intimidated by your own light. I read a poem years ago that I feel will clarify this further. It is from a Course in Miracles by Marianne Williamson.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? The question should be, who am I not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, your presence automatically liberates others.” —Marianne Williamson

The little light we think we have, is greater than the rapes, murders, abuse and crime that can be committed around us. While Olympians are striving for mastery to obtain the gold; we as the children of the greater Light must strive for mastery in reflecting all the light that is within us to bring healing to others.

God has commissioned us to focus on the light force within us. When we do; the light within becomes brighter than the noonday sun. As a matter of fact, the light becomes so bright it paralyzes fear and every demonic force around us. Your light becomes so bright it exposes the hidden things of dishonesty and demands an audience with truth.

Although I am optimistic and quite hopeful about our world; that optimism and hope is based on the lights becoming brighter and outshining all the evil around us. One light matters. Your light matters.

Recently I was asked if given the opportunity to be frozen and come back later to live would I want to? I rejected the idea. The reason is, I am not certain of who will be holding the light 100 or 1000 years from now. I know today, I can hold the light in my neighborhood; I can hold the light with friends and family members; I can hold the light in my marketplace. However, if I am not there I am not sure who else will.

Today I am on a mission to awaken as many people as possible to the Greater Light. The one who said:

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” (Matthew 8:12)

Learning to be brighter does not mean we do not care about what is happening around us. Our energy to become brighter means we love deeper and care more. Our tapping into the source of power and life-giving light, empowers the planet. Our world will be changed in a moment; in the twinkling of an eye. It will all be changed because we took time to direct our eye toward the light.

Despite the terrible tragedies; your light will outshine the evil and those who plan to hurt, or harm others will be exposed. Their evil plots will be weakened in the presence of the light; your light. Let it shine, Let it shine, Let it shine.
