They say history repeats itself, but it hasn’t for nearly 250 years. The delusional socialists and progressive radical liberals don’t realize the keg of dynamite they would ignite if they were ever to be successful in taking power. After the year 1765, growing philosophical and political differences strained the relationship between Great Britain and its colonies. Our second revolutionary war will be fought between Americans and our own government this time, but for the same reasons, philosophical and political differences.

Back then, patriots protested against taxation without representation. This was one of the major reasons for the American Revolution. The American colonies believed that a government should not tax a populace unless that populace is somehow represented in the government, which they were not. Nowadays, not a year goes by that our taxes don’t go up, albeit President Trump has lowered federal taxes. Pity the poor Republicans who live in California, whose income tax rate is between 9.3% to 13.3%. More and more services are being taxed in nearly every state as well.

If today’s Democratic socialists were to gain power, they would absolutely tax the American public to the breaking point. Look at Cortez’s New Green Deal, which would cost Americans trillions of dollars. This would throw the average American into poverty unforeseen, due to unaffordable taxes. Incredibly, even some of the more moderate democrats have jumped on board with this program of insane ideas to save the planet. Much like Einstein being the father of modern physics, Al Gore was the father of climate change fear, and made himself richer than he ever could’ve imagined.

Today’s Democratic socialists are yesterday’s British Empire coming to tax you to death and take away your rights.

In 1773, the Sons of Liberty destroyed a shipment of tea in Boston Harbor. Britain responded by closing Boston harbor and passing a series of punitive measures against Massachusetts Bay Colony. The Massachusetts colonists established a shadow government which wrested control of the countryside from the Brits. Twelve colonies formed a Continental Congress to coordinate their resistance, which effectively seized power. British attempts to disarm the Massachusetts militia in Concord led to open combat on April 19, 1775. Militia forces then controlled Boston, forcing a British evacuation in March 1776, and Congress appointed George Washington to command the Continental Army.

As I traveled the country running President Trump’s ground campaign, I had virtually thousands of people tell me the same thing over and over. I’ve loaded my ammo cache, along with more guns. The only way they’re going to take away my guns, is to kill me first, and they were dead serious. Even though I’m not a gun owner yet, I believe in our Second Amendment whole heartedly. Today, our Second Amendment is under assault from the Democratic Socialists. Had HRC won, it’s very likely that the process of taking guns away from law abiding citizens would have already begun.

The content of the issues today varies somewhat from yesteryear, but the issues themselves are eerily similar.

For example, there wasn’t free speech then, as you couldn’t say anything against the King publicly without retribution. Free speech at many college campus’s around the country over the past three years is very limited.

Social media platforms are without question, limiting free speech if you’re a conservative. And none of this is abhorred by the Left -Wing Democratic Socialists, in fact they promote it.

The Brits tried taking guns away from the Patriots, and it led to bloodshed. Today’s Socialists want to take guns away for the same reason the British did, so we can’t fight back against a tyrannical government.

When you add up all this madness, the tearing down of free speech; taking away guns from law abiding citizens; allowing thousands of murderous illegal immigrants into the country; the invasion of Islam as a trojan horse; the dismissal of Christian values by the Left⏤it’s no wonder the odds of a Revolutionary War in America in the near future is a real possibility.

What Democratic Socialists don’t realize⏤is there are tens of millions of Patrick Henry’s, who on March 23rd, 1775 in Richmond Virginia said these infamous words: “Give me liberty, or give me death!”

I recently moved from New Hampshire, where the state motto on license plates read “Live Free or Die”. New Hampshire was won by Hillary Clinton in 2016 by less than a percentage point. The whacko libs are now trying to change that saying. Why? Because it’s a motto they can’t live within a Socialist government.

The war has begun, although it’s just a war of ideology presently. Just as it was when the Brits arrived with promises of a better future. Sound familiar?  Image: J. S. Applewhite/AP
