Another interesting thing about the definitions of the word ‘great’ is that with almost all of them, we could add the phrase, “compared to what?” If we compare the United States to England, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Russia, China, Iran, or any other country, not only have we been great in the past, but in many respects, we still are ‘great’ today. Perhaps we should separate more parts of the definition out, the phrase ‘Make America Great Again’ implying…
Exploring spirituality, I emphasize lesser-known American traditions, highlighting Jed McKenna’s work. His writings, steeped in modern advaita vedanta, offer a witty, humorous perspective. I delve into themes of human adulthood, the illusory nature of selfhood, and the journey towards spiritual awakening, drawing insights from both McKenna and other philosophical sources, reflecting on life’s comedic essence and our path home…

The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – Exploring the heart of Thanksgiving Day, I delve into its deep-rooted history and traditions. This holiday, celebrated with food, family, and football, fundamentally revolves around gratitude towards God. Tracing back to George Washington and Abraham Lincoln’s proclamations, I highlight how this day is not just a cultural event, but a meaningful expression of thankfulness and blessing…
Whether it’s reparations or any of the other outrageous issues they’re promoting, there will be no harmony, and there will be no end to the voracious demands they’ll make until America no longer exists. With the left, there can be no peace, it’s war, and it’s a war they intend to win because of their corrupt and contentious desire for uncontrolled power…

We the People, after creating this Frankenstein monster of a government and setting it loose on an unsuspecting world, now cower in fear of our creation, unwilling to stand and defend even our own selves against it. Why did the framers of this union create this Constitution the way they did? What was the purpose that We the People had in mind when we ordained and established it?
On September 17, 1862, Corporal Henry Wilber of the 108th New York Volunteer Infantry was wounded, shot through the hand charging the ‘Sunken Road’ near Antietam Creek, outside of the town of Sharpsburg, Maryland. After Antietam, he eventually recovered from his wound and returned to full service in the Army of the Potomac. In time to once again be even more seriously wounded on July 3, 1863, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, during what became known as Picket’s Charge. Corporal Wilber also fought at the Battle of Fredericksburg in December of 1862 and at Chancellorsville in May of 1863. His unit was involved in nearly every major battle from its inception until the end of the war when it was mustered out of the Union Army Second Corps. The wounds Corporal Wilber received at Gettysburg were much more serious than the gunshot wound through his hand that he received at Antietam. He could no longer continue to serve with his unit, so he was transferred to what at the time was called the “Invalid Corps,” later the Veterans Reserve Corps. There he remained on garrison duty until the end of the war. On January 1, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, freeing […]
I want to know the connection between the ‘Lincoln Project’ (LP), an assemblage of disgruntled Republican elite “Never Trumpers” and the Chinese Communist Party. The alleged goal of the Lincoln Project, is to see that Donald Trump is not re-elected to a second term. The anti-Trump plotters in the Lincoln Project are attempting to create an unfavorable comparison between Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and President Donald Trump on the issue of taking personal responsibility for their failures. Using Ike’s example, he had written a pre D-Day invasion letter personally accepting responsibility if the invasion failed. On Trump’s side, the Lincoln Project claims that Trump refuses to accept responsibility for the China Virus pandemic that swept the United States, not to mention the rest of the world, when it was the Chinese Communist Party that took full advantage of a crisis in their labs to infect the world. That’s their current schtick and it only aids to confirm China’s propaganda denying responsibility for it! The title of this essay comes from the LP’s anti-Trump manifesto: “Everything Trump Touches Dies” and the forthcoming “Running Against the Devil: A Plot to Save America From Trump and Democrats From Themselves,” It forms […]

With the impeachment of the President on the horizon, the hysteria of the Democrats has taken on new proportions and none of them are good. And did you know that, despite what the Democrats would have you think, the most hated President in American history was not Donald Trump. And then, there are the stories you just can’t make up. Those are the ones that are so silly that they just have to be told. Check out this edition of the Freedman Report with Ilana Freedman.
Following the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln⏤they had a pretty effective way of dealing with the American citizens who participated in Lincoln’s murder and the attacks on other members of his cabinet. The authorities strung ’em up. The conspirators involved in Lincoln’s death had hoped that the assassination of the sixteenth president would result in bringing down the government and hopefully allow the Confederacy to survive. They were wrong and they paid with their lives for their treasonous acts. In the old west justice was also usually pretty swift as well. Commit a murder or even just steal a horse and you’d likely find yourself the guest of honor at a ‘necktie party’. Unfortunately for the guest of honor it was always a one way invitation, with the honoree always leaving feet first in a pine box. Indeed hanging criminals often became a civic event back in those days, a diversion from the daily hardscrabble existence of the American West of the 19th century. People came from miles around on hangin’ day to bear witness and be entertained. Sometimes the dispensing of justice took on a carnival atmosphere with vendors selling trinkets, and there was always lots of food and […]
And when such a call is combined with any act that seizes or destroys a strategic target, takes hostages, impedes civilian mobility, cripples supply lines, delays emergency response, or poses a threat of mass casualties, it should be understood and treated as such. Tom Cotton’s open encouragement of terrorists’ would-be victims in their own defense reflects the moral clarity necessary to discern terrorism from political protest…

The Dean’s List with Host Dean Bowen – The Supreme Court rules that Idaho’s law banning gender surgeries on minors can take effect during ongoing litigation. Truth Be Told with Booker Scott – In 2021, the top 50% of filers earned 90% of all income, so half of Americans are earning 9 out of every 10 dollars. It would be easy to think that a fair share would be 90%; that’s fair, isn’t it? I’m not sure how much fairer Biden wants it and where he thinks he’s going to get it because that same 50% of filers pay 98% of all taxes the government receives…
Too often, peer review of scientific reports amounts to little more than “pal review,” a rubber stamp from supporters of the hypothesis being investigated. What is needed is to allow reports to be reviewed by many people on all sides of issues, both inside the scientific community and in the public at large. One prominent group is actually doing this — the London, UK-based Global Warming Policy Foundation…

Having our military dollars going to an endless war in Ukraine and toward shooting down an endless supply of rockets and missiles over Israel helps China reach parity with our military. Banning all cars except those made with rare earth materials, it’s illegal to mine in the United States helps China’s economy, as does shuttering all forms of reliable and affordable energy. Our country is committing economic and political suicide…

As Congress debates renewing Section 702, concerns grow about continuing abuses of power and the erosion of civil liberties.
