🎧 Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves
Every parent would happily give up scolding, punishing, or threatening if they only knew how to ensure that their toddler/child/teen would thrive and act responsibly without such painful measures. Today’s show is based on the book “Raising Our Children, Raising Ourselves” which is the answer to this universal wish. It is not about gentle ways to control a child, but about a way of being and of understanding a child so she/he can be the best of themselves, not because they fear you or seek your approval but because they want to, of their own free will.
My guest today Naomi Aldort states: “To be a parent-leader is not about controlling, but about setting things up such that no control is needed.” In this show Ms Aldort’s guidance takes the struggle out of parenting. The show is full of advice explains why parents should move from unproductive reaction, to a response that is connecting and empowering to the child and to themselves.
