There are so many studies today showing that life connected with nature has abounding benefits and yet our lives become more and more urban and online. Might this be affecting us in ways we don’t even recognize yet? “One study published in 2011 compared the effects of walking in the city to taking a forest walk. Both activities required the same amount of physical activity, but researchers found that the forest environment led to more significant reductions in blood pressure and certain stress hormones.” The forest walkers also saw a decrease in blood pressure levels. Why do people living closer nature seem to be more connected to their bodies, minds, spirits and open to spiritual experiences?

Living a more indigenous lifestyle, connected to nature, seems to suggest a stronger connection with right brain functions. How can we take the best of what we have learned in our North America left brained world and fuse these lives to live to the fullest? If you are living a life disconnected from nature, what are some practical and easy ways to start incorporating nature back into your life? Co-hosts Shawna Peters, Susan Price and Jennifer Breedon take a walk on the wild side. Malcolm was so inspired he literally took off for the woods – we have an APB out for him now…
