I don’t know about anyone else but I’m sick and tired of Democrats calling Americans racist. Most recently Bernie Sanders claiming in the Democratic Presidential debate that America is a racist country “from top to bottom”. Echoed in the debate and on the campaign trail by his opponent Senator Elizabeth Warren and all the others currently running for the party’s nomination.

Of course claiming American racism is a common tactic of the Democrats, and I’m fed up with Democrat politicians trying to make me feel bad about being an American by making false claims against us.

Are there individuals who maintain racist beliefs still living in the United States of America? Absolutely there are. A rapidly diminishing number of people still hold racist beliefs. And unfortunately there likely will always be a very small number of individuals in this country, and around the world who will refuse to get over their racism.

Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream of a color blind society is still a work in progress.

But in America in the year 2020⏤institutional and societal racism has long been dead for the most part. What now determines how one is viewed is dependent on who they are as a person, not what they are as a race or ethnicity.

If you act like a fool, you disrespect other people’s rights, you break the law, or exhibit your own racist tendencies then people aren’t going to want to have anything to do with you, regardless of what color your skin happens to be. People won’t respect you, but it’s not based on one’s race or ethnicity as it once had been, it’s based on your actions. On what you do, and how you treat other people.

Until Barack Obama and Eric Holder came along the racial divide in America had been making great progress with Americans overcoming the racial tensions that had at one time been a part of our history, and played a large part in American society.

By the time Obama’s administration came into office⏤the overwhelming vast majority of Americans had gotten to the point that they no longer paid any attention to what a person’s race was anymore. It simply didn’t matter.

Most Americans had indeed reached the point where they judged people based on the content of their character instead of the color of their skin. After all, an inexperienced and unqualified black candidate had just had millions of white Americans vote for him and elect him President. Though as it turned out he likely was elected based on no reason other than his skin color, and certainly not on his qualifications, his talents, or as it turns out his character.

Every couple of years when there’s an election the Democrats go to their default position and pander to Black Americans. They make wild claims and stir up racial animosity in an attempt to try to round up and get as many votes in the Black community as they can. And then the black community is quickly forgotten after the election is over. It’s blatant, and it’s pathetic.

Senator Sanders and all the other Democrats running for president need to take a long look in the mirror if they want to see racism in America. If their tactic is to try to stir up racial animosity and label their Republican opponents as “racists” in order to get votes from Black Americans, then the Democrats themselves are the racists.

If you can’t make your argument for getting Black Americans to vote for you based on what affect your policies will have on their community, and instead you can only play to emotions then you are the racist. Black Americans are far smarter than what the Democrats give them credit for.

Black Americans are more than capable of separating the chaff from the wheat, as well as the bull-crap and phony promises from actual achievements. All they have to do is look at what Democrats have promised them for decades, and what President Trump has actually delivered.

Unfulfilled promises made to Black Americans during a political season with no intention nor the ability to actually follow through is the worst form of racism. And the Democrats default to this tactic every single election.

So is there racism in America Bernie? Absolutely. It runs from the top to the bottom of the Democrat Party that have made decades of promises to Black Americans, and has delivered nothing but hot air.
