Laylat al Qadar or Night of Power is the night in which Muhammad allegedly met an entity that later on was turned into the angel Gabriel who revealed to Muhammad the first of the Quranic verses.

By any standard of logic, this night should have become the most important and defining moment in the life of Muhammad. This should have obviously been the start of the ‘Islamic’ calendar instead of the much later date of the Hijra/Emigration. This was not to be, because of the most incredible and unfathomable excuse and fact that Muhammad – allegedly the most paramount and infallible prophet- actually FORGOT on which of the nights of the month of Ramadhan it occurred. In fact, the first verse of revelation has been relegated to the 96th Sura of Al Alaq instead of being the first Sura.

Is this not an oxymoron contradiction since a prophet is by definition, supposed to be able to foretell the future? Yet infallible Muhammad could not even remember the present and or even the recent past. This inconceivable excuse is like telling the story of any woman who gave birth to her first child yet does not remember the day or night it happened.

What is even more astounding is the ‘fact’ that according to Muhammadan tradition, he went running to his wife Khadija to inform her of the ‘revelation’ as well as to her venerable but very knowledgeable uncle, Waraqa bin Naufal. These two ‘witnesses’ should have been very capable of ‘remembering’ and asserting the date of the ‘revelation’ especially his wife Khadijah of at least 26 years together but for some unexplainable and unfathomable reason, they were not consulted.

al Qadr 97:1 “We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power (Laylat al Qadr): 2 And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is 3 The Night of Power is better than a thousand Months. 4 Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission on every errand: 5 Peace!. This until the rise of Morn!

*** Since Allah is asserting the extraordinary importance of this singular night of revelation (is better than a thousand Months), how then could Muhammad forget its date? Please note that the verse does not mention the name of the angel (Gabriel was inserted later on)***

The explanation of the story of this alleged encounter is recited next by Muhammad’s most beloved child bride.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.3        Narrated by Aisha  & 6.478 & 9.111

The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah’s Apostle was in the form of good dreams which came true like bright daylight, and then the love of seclusion was bestowed upon him.

He used to go in seclusion in the cave of Hira where he used to worship (Allah alone) continuously for many days before his desire to see his family. He used to take with him the journey food for the stay and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food likewise again till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, “I do not know how to read.”

The Prophet added, “The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, ‘I do not know how to read.’ Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, ‘I do not know how to read ‘ Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said,

Al Alaq (the Clot) 96:1-3 “Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous.”

Then Allah’s Apostle returned with the Inspiration and with his heart beating severely. Then he went to Khadija bint Khuwailid and said, “Cover me! Cover me!” They covered him till his fear was over and after that he told her everything that had happened and said, “I fear that something may happen to me.”Khadija replied, “Never! By Allah, Allah will never disgrace you. You keep good relations with your kith and kin, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guests generously and assist the deserving calamity-afflicted ones.”

Khadija then accompanied him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin ‘Abdul ‘Uzza, who, during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the writing with Hebrew letters.

He would write from the Gospel in Hebrew as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to Waraqa, “Listen to the story of your nephew, O my cousin!” Waraqa asked, “O my nephew! What have you seen?”

Allah’s Apostle described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, “This is the same one who keeps the secrets (angel Gabriel) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out.”

Allah’s Apostle asked, “Will they drive me out?” Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said, “Anyone (man) who came with something similar to what you have brought was treated with hostility; and if I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly.”

But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while.

Let me point out the most important items in this extraordinary story:

  1. The entity that appeared to Muhammad was most definitely terrifying and aggressive (Not characteristic of the angel Gabriel)
  2. Let us now agree for argument’s sake with the Muslims that this was the angel Gabriel confronting Muhammad. One must ask the Muslims “How is it conceivable that Gabriel who was allegedly sent by Allah to reveal the verses of the Quran to Muhammad did NOT know that Muhammad was Illiterate?
  3. Ladies and gentlemen, so called Believers and unbelievers, if this story were true, then Waraqa could not possibly have known much about either Christianity or the Bible. As a Christian, he would have known that no angel – Gabriel or any other – ever revealed anything to Moses who received his instructions directly from God thus called in Arabic “Kalimu Allah” meaning ‘one who talked directly to Allah’ (It was Muhammad who deliberately and falsely metamorphosed the supreme rock god of Pagan Arabia called Allah into the God of the Bible).
  4. Why was Waraqa writing the Gospels in Hebrew instead of Arabic while living among Arabs?

Again, again and again, the stories of the Hadiths prove that Muhammad’s understanding of both history and the Bible are contradictory, false, untrue and hence totally un Godly yet they are accepted without any questioning by the Brainwashed and Indoctrinated Muslim followers of Muhammad as true***

Jabir bin ‘Abdullah Al-Ansari narrated while talking about the period of pause in revelation reporting the speech of the Prophet

“While I was walking, all of a sudden I heard a voice from the sky. I looked up and saw the same angel who had visited me at the cave of Hira sitting on a chair between the sky and the earth. I got afraid of him and came back home and said, ‘Wrap me (in blankets).’ And then Allah revealed the following Holy Verses (of Quran):

Al Muddathir (the one wrapped up) 74:1-5 “O you (i.e. Muhammad)! wrapped up in garments! Arise and warn (the people against Allah’s Punishment),…’ up to ‘and desert the idols”

After this the revelations started coming strongly, frequently and regularly.”

*** Why did Gabriel in the Gospels NOT raise terror in Zachariah or Mary BUT only in Muhammad? How do we know that it was NOT Satan who was addressing Muhammad pretending to be Gabriel?

How else can anyone explain the incredible degree of fear that he (Gabriel) instilled in Muhammad? How can anyone explain all the errors, mendacities, abnormalities and Biblical contradictions in the Quran?

Can any Muslim explain?

Can anyone else explain? ***

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.240  Narrated by Ubada bin As Samit

The Prophet came out to inform us about the Night of Qadr but two Muslims were quarreling with each other. So, the Prophet said,

“I came out to inform you about the Night of Qadr but such-and-such persons were quarreling, so the news about it had been taken away; yet that might be for your own good, so search for it on the 29th, 27th and 25th (of Ramadan).”

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.252 Narrated by Abu Salama bin Abdur Rahman

I asked Abu Said Al-Khudri, “Did you hear Allah’s Apostle talking about the Night of Qadr?” He replied in the affirmative and said,

“… Allah’s Apostle delivered a sermon on the 20th (of Ramadan) and said, ‘I was informed (of the date) of the Night of Qadr (in my dream) but had forgotten it. So, look for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan…”

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.479/80        Narrated by Aisha

The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah’s Apostle was in the form of true dreams. The Angel came to him and said, “Read, in the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists), has created man a clot. Read! And your Lord is Most Generous.” (96.1-3)

*** Aisha asserts that Muhammad’s meeting with Gabriel was not Physical but Spiritual, in Dreams! Which version is the correct one, if any?***

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 9.120        Narrated by Ibn Umar

Some people were shown the Night of Qadr as being in the last seven days (of the month of Ramadan). The Prophet said, “Seek it in the last seven days (of Ramadan).”

Sahih Muslim HadithH 2631     Narrated by Abdullah ibn Unays

Allah’s Messenger said: “I was shown laylat al-Qadr; then I was made to forget it…”

Who made Muhammad forget it? Not Allah for sure. Who then?

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 98        Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

Allah’s Messenger came to us as we had been arguing with each other about the Divine Decree (al-Qadr). He was so annoyed that his face became as red as if there had been squeezed on his cheeks the flesh of pomegranates.

He said: “Is this what you have been commanded to do, is this with which I have been sent to you? Those who had gone before you were destroyed as they disputed about it. I adjure you, I adjure you not to fall into argumentation in regard to it”

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2092        Narrated by Abu Bakrah

AbuBakrah heard Allah’s Messenger say, “Seek it (meaning Laylat al-Qadr), on the twenty-first, twenty-third, twenty-fifth, twenty-seventh, or on the last night.”

Al-Muwatta Hadith   19.14     Laylat al-Qadr

Ziyad related to me from Malik from Humayd at-Tawil that ‘Anas ibn Malik said, ‘The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came out to us in Ramadan and said, “I was shown a certain night in Ramadan and then two men abused each other and it was taken away. Look for it on the ninth and the seventh and the fifth.”

How is it possible for a ‘prophet’ who by definition could foretell the future, yet could not remember the recent most astounding and monumental encounter in his life?

Again we have to repeat that this is like a man or a woman forgetting the date on which their first born was delivered.

These are very strange and extremely disturbing stories since they show Muhammad in a very bad light as an undependable and mendacious reporter of events.

We have deliberately recited numerous traditions by different collectors and from the memories of different people so that no one can accuse us of being selective, all of them being in disharmony and contradiction of the same event.

Once more, using only the Islamic ‘holy’ scripture we have been able to utterly discredit Muhammad as a prophet and the alleged divine origin of his Quran and once more we demand that Muslims try to prove ANYTHING we reveal as untrue, wrong or false.

Dear readers, I continue the systematic process of completely destroying any pretense that Muhammad was a prophet and that Allah is the same as the God of Jesus, Moses and Abraham, this is another irrefutable nail in the coffin of Islam.
