John Kerry has never been a statesman. His interests have always been all about what is good for John Kerry and not what is good for America. His self-interest is so profound that the critical issues that face America that he claims to be protecting actually come second or third or not at all before whatever issues affect him personally: his comfort, his power, and his bank account.

Last week, the New York Times released a report about a bombshell recording that was leaked in April. According to this report, Iran’s Foreign Minister Javad Zarif was overheard saying that Kerry told him about some 200 Israeli attacks on Iranian interests in Syria. That betrayed intelligence that was acquired through the delicate but trusting relationship between the United States and our staunch ally Israel. Kerry had no business sharing that with a country that so openly continues to express hostility to both the U.S. and Israel.

John Kerry has always taken the side of Israel’s enemies, despite that country’s role in supporting America unequivocally and working with the U.S. to fight terrorism around the world. Israel has been a loyal ally of the United States since its founding in 1948. But now, that trust has been broken, and the delicate relations between Israel and the U.S. may have been badly damaged.

This comes at a delicate time in the Middle East, when peace between Israel and some of the Muslim countries in the region have just made historic inroads to peace and economic cooperation, following the creation of the Abraham Accords by the Trump Administration. And this is only the beginning of Kerry’s mischief in the region.

He has blamed Israel for the rise of the Islamic State, although there is no evidence to back this ridiculous claim. In 2018, he was reported to have told a close associate of Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to tell him that he should be patient, that Trump would not likely be in the White House for long. And he passed the same message on to the Iranians.

This illegal and outrageous behavior by John Kerry has been working against the best interests of the U.S. for a very long time. In 1971, as a young Naval Officer just back from the Vietnam war, he told the Senate Committee of Foreign Relations about the U.S. military and his comrades in arms. He said:

“They had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam, in addition to the normal ravage of war and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country.. . . these are not isolated incidents but crimes committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of officers at all levels of command.”

Then, in direct violation of the Code of Military Justice, he went to Paris at the same time that then-Secretary of State Henry Kissinger was negotiating an end to the Viet Nam war. Kerry openly admitted, “I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say, the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and Provisional Revolutionary Government.” It was his first violation of the Logan Act of 1799.

As a private citizen, he defied the Logan Act, which was enacted so that unauthorized Americans could not act on behalf of the United States during a dispute with foreign governments. It prohibits U.S. citizens from having private negotiations with a foreign government “with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government . . . in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States.”

Years later, when he was Secretary of State during the Obama Administration, Kerry led the negotiating team trying to make a deal with Iran to limit their nuclear ambitions. The ‘deal’ that they made did nothing to stop the Iranians, who little by little, broke every provision of the deal – from allowing United Nations inspectors into sensitive areas to check on Iran’s compliance, to stop their nuclear development the deal was supposed to control, which it didn’t.

And later, during the Trump Administration, Kerry openly negotiated with the Iranians. The intent behind the Logan Act, which he violated, was to prevent unauthorized negotiations -precisely like those carried out by Kerry in 2018 – from undermining the government’s position. That is exactly what John Kerry did.

President Trump commented, “John Kerry had illegal meetings with the very hostile Iranian Regime, which can only serve to undercut our great work to the detriment of the American people. He told them to wait out the Trump Administration! Was he registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act?”

Kerry’s apparent love for the Iranian government has a long history at the expense of America and our allies. During his tenure as Secretary of State, he was involved in the transfer of billions of dollars to Iran, the world’s greatest exporter of terror against Israel and the US and our allies. For years, Iran has provided money and military support for Hamas in Gaza, Hizb’allah in Lebanon and Syria, and the Houthis in Yemen. And much of the money that Kerry helped to engineer from Washington to Teheran went right to those terrorist groups and supported the terror and murder and mayhem that they have carried out in the name of Islam.

Kerry’s negotiations with this terror-supporting state in 2018 directly countered our government’s foreign policy. However ill-judged his negotiations for the Obama Administration were, at least he was authorized by the President to carry them out. When he negotiated during the Trump Administration, he had no such authorization, and he clearly violated the Logan Act.

Then, in 2019, he showed another side of himself – the hypocritical side. Now claiming to be a champion fighter against ‘global warming,’ he flew to Iceland in his private jet (with its high carbon footprint) to collect the Arctic Circle Award for his ‘leadership’ as chair of the Paris Climate Accord negotiations. When he was challenged about his mode of transportation, he claimed it was the only choice for someone like me.” He said, “I cant sail across the ocean. I have to fly to meet with people and get things done”. He clearly ignored the obvious possibility of taking a commercial plane to his destination like a normal person.

At the award ceremony in Iceland, Kerry told the audience that “urgent action” was needed to fight global warming. Ironically, back in Washington, Kerry admitted that Bidens program to get the U.S. to zero emissions would not make much of a difference in the global fight against climate change. He was right. Because America produces only 15% of the carbon emissions that the proponents of global warming are railing against. Whatever we do here to cut our carbon emissions will have little effect on the global problem. But somehow, we are taking on the burden of global clean-up when China, which produces more than twice the carbon emissions that we do, is given a pass. And these misplaced priorities are going to cost us trillions of dollars, with little or no effect.

Kerry has been supporting America’s enemies for decades. He should not be sitting on the National Security Council. He should not be participating in any way in the mapping and implementation of our foreign policy, because we know all about his bad behavior. He should not be representing the U.S. government in any way. He should instead be in federal prison for his illegal actions and flagrant disregard of the Logan Act.

This September will mark 20 years since 9/11. What better reason to stand for a united America in the face of global terrorism. But John Kerry will not stop his seemingly endless war against America by palling around with the supporters of terror.

And he will get another pass, even though he has broken laws, lied about his motives, and arrogantly flaunted his wealth and power in order to stay in the limelight and in the center of the sphere of influence.

And this is the face of the new Democrat party that disregards the law, the truth, and the will of the American people. Like that of John Kerry, their overwhelming quest is for power and influence – and for the destruction of the Republican Party and the Conservative movement in America.

John Kerry epitomizes what is wrong with the Democrat Party. His behavior represents everything that’s wrong with the Democrats and with the threat that they represent to America in 2021. Kerry should not once again be given a pass for his evil behavior. As a so-called leader in the Biden Administration, he needs to be held accountable for his illegal actions and for his contempt for the law, which has endangered this country for decades and continues to do so even now.
