There was a significant level of criticism strewn at the President for his willingness to meet with Kim Jong-un. Why would you meet with a dictator, a killer, a repressive country that does ungodly things to their people Mr. President? The followup to that question was always; Will you talk to Kim about his human rights atrocities? NBC News was fretting in that the “U.S. won’t bring up North Korea’s human rights issues at Singapore summit. When Trump meets Kim Jong Un in Singapore, he will be sitting down with the leader of one of the most brutal and repressive regimes in modern history,” they said. What short memories these folks have…we will have plenty to say about this today.

The House GOP reaches deal to vote on immigrant legalization bills was the other exciting news. They (GOP) have reached a deal to vote on two immigration bills next week. How cool that the moderates and conservatives were playing well for the moment. The alternative was to use an obscure House rule called the “queen of the hill” to hold votes on four different immigration bills; where the minority could push the issue and their agenda to the floor. None of this is politically popular for the Republican Party with the midterms lurking. The moderates, along with the democrats have their eyes on only one thing: the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. None of this solves the immigration crisis that besets America. Wow, we have more to say about this one…
