We have 50 years of footprints in the sand since the assassination of Dr. King. Are we closer now than we were 50 years ago, or are we in motion but still going around the mountain of confusion, hatred, and racism? If you are 50 plus in America; you remember that day and you probably remember where you were the moment you got the news of Dr. King’s assassination. Have we been Healed from this crime and why did so many people feel the pain of this fallen leader? What was happening in America that made Dr. King a target for such hate? Does that level of hate still exists today between races?
Overall, 58% of Americans say racism is a “big problem in our society,” while 29% say it is “somewhat of a problem.” Just 12% say racism in the U.S. is a small problem or not a problem, according to a new Pew Research Center survey.
