Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with breast cancer? Cancer is a silent, and sometimes deadly, life-changing experience for everyone involved. In fact, it is said that 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. In this episode of the IHML Show, we’re talking with Christine Egan, a healthy living advocate and the author of The Healthy Girl’s Guide to Breast Cancer. Before her cancer diagnosis, Christine was living a picture-perfect life. She married her high school sweetheart, had 3 amazing kids, a successful career and was living a healthy, natural lifestyle. Her shocking cancer diagnosis was a major wake-up call and led her to become more intentional about living her life to the fullest every day. And after ending 33 radiation treatments, Christine ran the Disney marathon to celebrate her remission. Christine’s year of radiation treatments affected her family in a very positive way, and now she is bringing light to other people who are going through the same treatment. Today, she leads the #redefininghealthy movement, where she teaches women how to feel healthy in their bodies NOW. She is passionate about helping women get out of their own way, so they can live their life “out loud” and full of purpose.
