What if I choke, cramp, or don’t make it out of the water?

My perfect life may not be your perfect life, and your perfect life may not live up to my expectations either. Is there such a thing as a ‘perfect life’? And if there is, what does that life look like?

The perfect life is a mindset. A mindset that encompasses your fears and your desires, and your abilities to navigate between these two human emotions. I’ve been thinking about this a great deal in recent weeks. Thinking about the perfect career, the perfect relationship, the perfect friendship, the perfect life.

Please meet an incredible woman, Ironman Kelly Murphy. Her journey is most compelling. Her story will leave you laughing out loud and at times with tears in your eyes. Her life mantra is: “Everything you dream of in life is on the other side of fear” What are you afraid of? Kelly will follow that up with “You can absolutely achieve anything that you put your mind to.”

“There is one element that I feel like most of us miss out on and that’s the spiritual journey of the actual journal itself. Just like Ironman, Jack was going to use the same principles to get thru cancer,”
says Ironman Kelly Murphy.

Kelly Murphy is the author of Fear Is Horseplay, a child-like story created to inspire all ages toward fearless action. Kelly’s influence on sharing her personal story of failure, tragedy, addiction and overcoming a limiting mindset is at the core of her life’s work. In 2011 Kelly crossed the Ironman finish line with an attitude that anything is possible if you are willing to do the work.

Kelly inspires others to live a healthy, integrated life by enhancing self-awareness and focuses on behavior modification through one on one coaching, interactive seminars and keynote speaking engagements.

Her thoughts, ideas, and columns can be found right here at America Out Loud. Just ahead – you will meet a woman who has conquered FEAR head on… enjoy ‘Inside the Mind of an Ironman Athlete’!
