Most of all our Cherished Blessing, our American Exceptionalism

Each year on Independence Day — the Fourth of July, Americans continue to celebrate, express their support for the freedoms they enjoy, and recognize the unlimited opportunities afforded them to improve their station in life, because of our free enterprise system, the fairest form of government in the world, and because of our Constitution and the sacrifices made to garner those freedoms and liberties. The Fourth of July is also an opportunity for each patriotic American to celebrate our nation’s symbolic birthday, and most of all our cherished blessing, our American Exceptionalism.

Countless generations of Americans have fought for, and sacrificed everything under the American Flag. The American Flag symbolizes the unity and freedoms of Americans. The “”Flag” is flown on national holidays, above U.S. Federal buildings, on U.S. military installations, on U.S. Navy ships, over U.S. Embassies and U.S. Missions overseas, by deployed U.S. military forces overseas, and by millions of Americans over their residences and business. The “American Flag” symbolizes the principles upon which the Founding Fathers established the Republic, meticulously sought enlightenment and guidance from God in preparing our Constitution, and collectively and courageously signed the Declaration of Independence 241-years ago.

On the Fourth of July, and every day, Americans citizens demonstrate their patriotism, their love for this nation, their support for military Veterans, and members of the U.S. Armed Forces, who raised their right hand, and swore to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution, then gallantly served in the defense of the Republic, under our reverent symbol the American Flag.

At one point in their lives, every member of U.S. Armed Forces, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount “up to and including their lives.” The courage and ultimate sacrifices demonstrated by these stewards of freedom who served in the defense of this nation, can be appropriately described by two quotes;

Here is courage, mankind’s finest possession. Here is the noblest prize. 352 BC, King Philip of Macedonia

Through You we will push back our adversaries; Through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us. Psalm 44:5

Truly throughout our great history, our courage and patriotism, the sacrifices made, the continued effort to strive for respecting of our fellow citizens, the passionate support for and defense of our Constitution, our love of country and patriotism, and love of God are our nation’s greatest assets from within, continue to endure and must never waver.

Despite the ever present threat from radical-Islamic terrorists to disrupt Fourth of July celebrations, and the continued threats by rogue nations, and by nation states that challenge us because of our beliefs, our values, and our principles. All Americans should respond to potential threats and criticisms by flying the American Flag on the Fourth, to celebrate and stand-up for our liberties and freedoms, remembering our history and the sacrifices made so that no one will ever forget, by honoring and remembering our Constitution and our Exceptionalism — and to do so by joining with their fellow Americans to celebrate the Fourth of July in the same way they have done in years past.

I wish all of you a safe, secure and Happy Fourth of July!
