Author and speaker Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.” Freely admitting that he “learned more about our Constitution from School House Rock (a Saturday morning cartoon) than in 12 years of school,” he says that anyone can be a constitutional scholar. Since 2014 I have been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. Using news and current events as a springboard, I explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up and secure the blessings of liberty for themselves, their children, and the nation.
We see governments at all levels infringing on our right to keep and bear arms. Look at the arguments they use. “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47.” — Beto O’Rourke. “I don’t believe people should be able to own guns.” — Barack Obama. “If I could have gotten…an outright ban – ‘Mr. and Mrs. America turn in your guns’ – I would have!” — Sen Diane Feinstein. “We’re bending the law as far as we can to ban an entirely new class of guns.” — Rahm Emanuel…

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is misused to spy on Americans, including political figures and protestors. As Congress debates renewing Section 702, concerns grow about continuing abuses of power and the erosion of civil liberties. Remember Benjamin Franklin’s warning about sacrificing liberty for security as we face another potential renewal of these invasive powers.

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Depending on what news outlets you pay attention to, you’ll hear claims of government corruption. Of course, these outlets and the people who trust their reporting will disagree about who in government is corrupt and what policies are corrupt, but we all pretty much agree that there is corruption. Unless we recognize our own biases and those of those we get our news from, we will forever be…

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Labels are lazy. They are an easy way to dismiss someone or something without actually having to investigate it. Label someone a terrorist, and you can throw due process out the window. Label someone a racist, and you can simply ignore them. Label someone a threat to democracy, and you can do just about anything to keep them out of office…

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – There are three types of lies in the world. Lies, Darn Lies, and Statistics. We should keep that in mind as we read and hear about the latest jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These numbers are not nearly as good as D.C. would like you to believe. Then again, they aren’t nearly as bad as their political opponents would want you to believe either…

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – The Pledge of Allegiance ends in the words, “With Liberty and Justice for all.” What happens when the laws and the legal system are not seeking justice? Then, we no longer have a “justice system”; what we have is “just a system.” Whether it’s using the legal system or the bureaucracy to punish political opponents or finding ways to have undue influence on elections or courts to unbalance the scales of justice…

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When the Founding Fathers established this union, they did not expect the citizens to be passive participants but active in its operation. Rather than expecting others to protect their rights, they wanted people to defend them for themselves. Our first Chief Justice of the United States, John Jay, told us how we could do that…
TikTok has been shown to be spyware, but that’s true for just about every app on your phone and website you visit. Not only would this bill not be effective in preventing foreign governments from spying on the American people, but it completely ignores the spying that other applications have been doing for decades. With all of the media’s focus on this bill, does anyone else wonder why all of the other apps vacuuming up and selling our data have been ignored?

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – When we think of organized crime, figures like Al Capone and fictional characters such as Vito Corleone often come to mind. Yet, if we consider the scale of influence and control, the federal government surpasses any known crime syndicate. Through a mix of bribes and threats, it exerts a formidable presence, challenging our notions of power and coercion.

Unleashed: The Political News Hour with Chris Cordani – Both the Maoist dictatorship in China and the Soviet regime needed desperately to manipulate and force their subjects into submission when they originally took over their respective nations. And when such a call is combined with any act that seizes or destroys a strategic target, takes hostages, impedes civilian mobility, cripples supply lines, delays emergency response, or poses a threat of mass casualties, it should be understood and treated as such. Truth Be Told with Booker Scott – In 2021, the top 50% of filers earned 90% of all income, so half of Americans are earning 9 out of every 10 dollars. It would be easy to think that a fair share would be 90%; that’s fair, isn’t it? I’m not sure how much fairer Biden wants it and where he thinks he’s going to get it because that same 50% of filers pay 98% of all taxes the government receives…
Too often, peer review of scientific reports amounts to little more than “pal review,” a rubber stamp from supporters of the hypothesis being investigated. What is needed is to allow reports to be reviewed by many people on all sides of issues, both inside the scientific community and in the public at large. One prominent group is actually doing this — the London, UK-based Global Warming Policy Foundation…
