At the beginning of 2021, things were seemingly peaceful in the Middle East. The US Embassy had moved to Jerusalem. UAE, Bahrain, Sudan, Morocco, and Bhutan had all agreed to normalize relationships with Israel. Peace, it seemed, was not elusive for the Middle East, thanks to former President Donald Trump and the work of his administration. At the end of Biden’s 100th day in office, things had drastically changed in the region. Missiles were volleying from Palestine to Israel and vice versa. It would have gotten much worse had Egypt not stepped in to quell what was becoming an all-out war between the warring nations.
As of now, things are quiet again, but at any moment, it could change. So it begs the question, what happened? We will answer that question on “After Dark With Rob and Andrew.” Helping us put the Palestine Israel relationship into perspective is guest journalist Heather Robinson, who has visited Palestine and Israel.
Heather Robinson is a New York-based freelance journalist who regularly contributes to The New York Post, Jewish News Syndicate, the U.S. Spectator, and other publications. She has appeared as a pundit on “CNN with Anderson Cooper” as well as Fox News’s “Geraldo At Large,” discussing human rights, popular culture, and the Mideast. She has also worked as a college writing instructor at New York University and Touro College in Brooklyn.
