#70 Uber Sexual Harassment Confessions

Susan Fowler isn’t exactly a household name, and the friendly frisky folks at Uber wish they had never heard of her either! Seems Ms. Fowler let the cat out of the bag with her claims of sexual harassment. Fowler wrote on a blog that on her first day at work her boss propositioned her in a series of messages. Fowler says she was sexually harassed and experienced gender bias during her time at the company. In fact Uber terminated 20 employees after the charges of sexual harassment became public.

We’ll take on the serious topic of sexual harassment on the show today. Do sexual jokes qualify as sexual harassment? Why do men get so much pleasure from sexually harassing women? (you just have to know that question comes from a woman) What about women who sexually harass men? (although one wonders if the men would even admit this) What is the best way a woman can stop sexual harassment in it’s tracks?

Co-hosts Dr. Andrea Pennington and Erin Morgart put out an all points bulletin for Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. Malcolm wants answers and makes a live call to Uber management while on the show today. Things get really interesting…
