It was just hours before Americans rang in the New Year of 2020 when Iran made a serious miscalculation. In the city of Baghdad, Iraq, it sent hundreds – some say thousands – of men, carrying the flags of an Iran-backed Shiite militia, to gather outside the U.S. Embassy and shout “Death to America”. They threw water bottles and smashed security cameras outside the Embassy walls, and then, because that was not enough of a statement, they broke through the gate and stormed the Embassy Compound. These were not civilian “demonstrators”, as the left-wing press reported. They were members of a violent Shiite terrorist organization, operating under the name Ktaib Hizb’allah, which had been designated a terrorist organization more than a decade ago. They claimed that the attack on the embassy was in retaliation for a 36-rocket attack last week by the U.S. that killed twenty-five of their fighters. But that attack was itself in retaliation for an attack by the Iranian militia against an Iraqi base, in which an American contractor was killed. The men rampaged through the grounds of the U.S. Embassy on Tuesday, burning and destroying whatever they could. Once inside the walls, they broke through a door […]
One of the more significant aspects regarding the Iranian Nuclear Deal that many of us former career intelligence officers became aware of during the Obama administration’s involvement in negotiating the deal, was the extent of and almost obsessive level of dedicated engagement by many members of the Obama national security team. The permissiveness and loyalty in their participation and passion caused many of us to wonder how this would affect America’s trust aspect with Iran, along with future strategic efforts by the incoming Trump Administration. The other concern was that was evident almost immediately after Donald Trump’s election, was whether it was possible for Obama’s people to disengage and essentially give it up under a new administration. In fact, I was steadfast in my concern and belief that many would attempt to stay engaged with Tehran because of both their firm belief that they had negotiated a great deal and that they had a significant degree and level of their investment in the effort. I suspected from the onset that this could be a serious problem for President Trump. Those concerns soon became apparent in the days following the November 2016 election when it was learned that a small […]

In April Iranian Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif told Chris Wallace that Israel, John Bolton, Saudi Arabia, and United Arab Emirates all wanted regime change in Iran. “They have all shown that they want to drag the U.S. into a conflict, I do not believe that Pres Trump wants to do that – I believe Pres Trump ran on a campaign promise to not bring the U.S. into another war – but I believe Pres Trump’s intention to put maximum pressure on Iran in order to bring Iran to it’s knees – so that we would succumb to pressure is doomed to failure – and these individuals know this,” says Zarif. President Trump joked that if United States foreign policy was decided by his national security advisor John Bolton, “We’d be in four wars by now.” The president reportedly made the remarks in private, this is according to The New York Times. Officials who spoke with the Times said the president favored his Bolton’s tough measures on the Iranian regime, but was not happy with the narrative that Bolton was moving toward a regime change in the region. In the mean time⏤former Obama government officials were kissing up to China and […]
And when such a call is combined with any act that seizes or destroys a strategic target, takes hostages, impedes civilian mobility, cripples supply lines, delays emergency response, or poses a threat of mass casualties, it should be understood and treated as such. Tom Cotton’s open encouragement of terrorists’ would-be victims in their own defense reflects the moral clarity necessary to discern terrorism from political protest…

Truth Be Told with Booker Scott – In 2021, the top 50% of filers earned 90% of all income, so half of Americans are earning 9 out of every 10 dollars. It would be easy to think that a fair share would be 90%; that’s fair, isn’t it? I’m not sure how much fairer Biden wants it and where he thinks he’s going to get it because that same 50% of filers pay 98% of all taxes the government receives…
Too often, peer review of scientific reports amounts to little more than “pal review,” a rubber stamp from supporters of the hypothesis being investigated. What is needed is to allow reports to be reviewed by many people on all sides of issues, both inside the scientific community and in the public at large. One prominent group is actually doing this — the London, UK-based Global Warming Policy Foundation…

Having our military dollars going to an endless war in Ukraine and toward shooting down an endless supply of rockets and missiles over Israel helps China reach parity with our military.
