In this episode of The Freedman Report, Ilana is joined by Michael Johns, a former White House speechwriter, Heritage Foundation foreign policy analyst, and national Tea Party movement co-founder. Michael is also co-host of Viewpoint Presents with Malcolm and Michael Johns, which airs on America Out Loud every Sunday at 11am Eastern Time. Ilana and Michael discuss what seems to be a world on fire: costly far left violence and arson in the streets of some of America’s largest cities, the peaking and threat to China’s massive Three Gorges Dam on China’s Yangtze River that now endangers tens of millions of Chinese, the health and whereabouts of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, and the vast and ongoing global persecution of Christians.
Antifa has recently drawn the world’s attention towards itself as President Trump announced in early June that the group was guilty of much of the on-going chaos in the United States, to also include that of Black Lives Matter (BLM). We all know initially that the protests in the streets of several American cities had been triggered by the death of George Floyd. But almost a week after the civil unrest in the streets of Minneapolis, and the chaos has spread and continues to rage throughout numerous American cities, towns, and local municipalities. It ramped up to looting, burning infrastructure, the defacing, tearing down and destruction of historical and non-historical statues and monuments across America. As U.S. cities burn, the President pointed a finger at Antifa⏤holding the Antifa movement responsible for the instability, unrest, and destruction across the country⏤Trump made public his intention of formally declaring the organization a terrorist group. Some in the media had raised the question; how could the President label and declare a rag-tag group of bottle throwing, trash throwing, disorganized group of rambunctious crybaby misfits from their parent’s basements as a terrorist organization, on par with the likes of Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, or ISIS?! Before anyone knee-jerks or […]
During his recent comments on Fox News following the deaths of two more American service members in Afghanistan, retired General Jack Keene was talking about it being in our national interest to continue to remain committed to keeping troops in that Southwest Asian nation. I have a lot of respect for General Keene, I always pay close attention to what he has to say when he’s offering comments on anything having to do with national security. But on this point I can’t disagree with him more. Yes, as he argued, the U.S. indeed has an interest in what happens in Afghanistan. We don’t want it to be reestablished as a terrorist haven any more than it already is. ISIS and Al Qaeda would certainly love to maintain and even increase their presence in that hellhole, and perhaps even establish another caliphate as they had in Syria, but this time in Afghanistan. We need to do what we can to prevent that from happening. But we don’t prevent that by maintaining a military presence there anymore. Afghanistan will never become a stable Western-style democracy no matter how much blood and treasure we invest there. Probably not anytime soon will it even be a stable country, at least […]
It was just hours before Americans rang in the New Year of 2020 when Iran made a serious miscalculation. In the city of Baghdad, Iraq, it sent hundreds – some say thousands – of men, carrying the flags of an Iran-backed Shiite militia, to gather outside the U.S. Embassy and shout “Death to America”. They threw water bottles and smashed security cameras outside the Embassy walls, and then, because that was not enough of a statement, they broke through the gate and stormed the Embassy Compound. These were not civilian “demonstrators”, as the left-wing press reported. They were members of a violent Shiite terrorist organization, operating under the name Ktaib Hizb’allah, which had been designated a terrorist organization more than a decade ago. They claimed that the attack on the embassy was in retaliation for a 36-rocket attack last week by the U.S. that killed twenty-five of their fighters. But that attack was itself in retaliation for an attack by the Iranian militia against an Iraqi base, in which an American contractor was killed. The men rampaged through the grounds of the U.S. Embassy on Tuesday, burning and destroying whatever they could. Once inside the walls, they broke through a door […]
On Sunday morning, October 27, 2019, President Donald Trump announced the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Idlib, Syria. Al-Baghdadi was tracked down by Delta Force and Army Rangers with army bomb sniffing dogs, and ran into an unfinished tunnel that culminated in a dead end. He ended his life – and that of three children whom he took with him – by detonating a suicide vest. In the end, this ruthless and brutal man, who was the spiritual and operational leader of ISIS, died a coward and a murderer. He expected to be greeted by a host of beautiful virgins in paradise. I wonder how he felt when he found himself at the gates of hell where he faces eternal damnation! – Ilana Freedman The Rise and Fall of ISIS For thousands of years, the Middle East has been a cauldron of political, social, and religious unrest. Countless armies have marched across the barren deserts, clashing with each other for supremacy, and spilling the blood of innocents from time immemorial. The death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi spells the end of one of the most ruthless and bloodthirsty leaders in the ages-long fight for global domination. The rise of ISIS presented a […]
“Something very big has just happened!” That was the tweet heard around the world as President Trump tweeted out at 9:23 pm eastern time on Saturday evening. Shortly after, it was revealed, that President Trump’s tweet was in reference to the combined air and special operations raid in northwestern Syria near the town of Barisha in the A’la Mountains, near the Mediterranean and the Turkish border by U.S. air and special operations forces. Fittingly, situated an area known as the ‘Dead Cities.’ The initial analysis indicated and subsequently confirmed was related to the on-going raid in northern Idlib province of Syria where U.S. led coalition forces were pursuing a high value (terrorist) target (HVT). The assessment and now has confirmed that the HVT was in fact the elusive ISIS Commander, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. This was initially based on intelligence-comms chatter and ultimately supported by official follow-on reporting, as we have seen. Though the exact time and timing of when and how the operation went down remains classified, President Trump ordered a special operations raid into Idlib province in Syria⏤located in the country’s northwest area. Over the course of what I have learned was a number of weeks, U.S, developed the location and whereabouts […]
Lost amid the understandable moral and strategic outrage over President Trump’s unorthodox and non-status quo decision on Syria is one politically inconvenient fact: Trump’s assessment of the current Syrian and regional situation there was spot-on and a much needed call and a wake-up call to both the nation and the world. Our mission in Syria was never clear or defined, until two things happened; the establishment and infusion of ISIS into Syria and its effort to create a caliphate, and the election of Donald Trump. President Trump determined; a ‘Mission’ and an ‘End State’ — ‘Destroy ISIS and Get Out.’ U.S. policy in Syria has been unclear, confused and unrealistic for nearly a decade—a never-ending mission impossible without realistic goals or the means to achieve them. So much so, the politicians enragement at President Trump’s so-called willful abandonment of the Kurds and his disregard for U.S. credibility and interests are due to the false-narrative spun by the mainstream and Trump’s detractors, opponents and haters. But this too, should not obscure the fact: U.S. policy in Syria was headed for trouble. Whether you dislike or support this President, Trump’s actions have served to lay bare some uncomfortable truths and realities about U.S. […]
While Kurdish nationalism on the surface seems to be the common theme among various Kurdish groups, at least according to the Washington ruling class and elites, by no means does this mean that all Kurds are unified towards a single common goal or ideology. Different agendas, tactics, and goals have evolved among various communities of Kurds in different regions and countries over the course of history going back to the 10th century. Unfortunately, for most Americans, the uninformed inside the Beltway savants and their stalwarts across the political spectrum have pilloried President Trump for his eminently rational decision to draw down the U.S. troop commitment (initially, only 25) to the Syrian morass⏤whose “dynamic” has remained largely unchanged since the late 1940s. Most of the ire directed at Mr. Trump has to do with hand-wringing over our “Kurdish allies,” even after the President warned Turkey not to engage in its habitual behaviors⏤since Ataturk created his ethno-racist state⏤towards the Kurds. Regardless, here are a few salient points one should bear in mind about the Kurds, which the hand-wringers conveniently ignore in their adulatory fawning and adulation of the Kurds, albeit as America’s faithful allies and partners. To begin with, understand that after […]
The White House announced Sunday that U.S. forces in northeast Syria will immediately pull back and clear the way for an expected Turkish assault on northern Syria. The American withdrawal will mean essentially abandoning our allies, the Kurdish fighters who have stood alongside American forces in the battle to defeat the Islamic State terrorists, who had taken over and brutalized the region. While Turkey considers the Kurdish forces to be a terrorist organization, and has, for a long time, been trying to get America to end its support for the group, the Kurdish fighters, which are part of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), have been the United States’ most reliable partner in fighting the Islamic State in a strategic corner of northern Syria. To abandon them now is not only shameful, it is strategically imprudent. A statement from the White House revealed that President Trump had spoken to Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan by telephone, and that Turkey will be moving forward immediately with its long-planned operation into northern Syria. Long planned indeed. Erdoğan has been threatening to launch a military operation across the border for well over a year, and now he is about to do just that. Turkey […]

Whether it’s the Florida classified documents case or the D.C. fake insurrection case, Jack Smith has no legal voice and no authority to prosecute President Trump. This fact declares Smith not only a vagabond of justice but also a criminal who has deprived President Trump of his God-given right to liberty, justice, and personal property. Smith should be prosecuted! But what’s the chance of that happening in a system replete with frauds and liars?

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – How the court decides this case may have a tremendous impact on all outstanding Jan. 6th cases. We’ve all heard the saying that the punishment should fit the crime. But what happens when someone, in order to get the punishment they want, accuses others of crimes they didn’t actually commit? That is the question before the Supreme Court in the case Fischer v. United States.
The implication is that our elected officials report to our intelligence agencies and not to the people who elect them. Given that our intelligence agencies have such information on quite literally every single one of us, there is no way for elected officials to fix this without seeing all of that blackmail material go public, destroying their reputations and careers. Our elected officials have no power – our intelligence agencies do…
