“Pretty much everybody in America has had some Lyme spirochetes injected into their bloodstream by mosquitos, ticks, horse flies, or fleas. The media and the majority of even Lyme literate doctors continue to talk about ticks, and yet I’ve been suggesting since my own daughter was sick in 2008, that mosquitos are carrying Lyme spirochetes – actually that was proven in Germany back in November at the University of Frankfurt. So when you know that mosquitos are carrying Lyme the majority of people in America have been bitten by mosquitos. Do they all carry Lyme in mosquitos no …the difference is in the immune system …” Dr. Rick Sponaugle
It’s one of the most misdiagnosed diseases of our time. In the latest stats from the CDC – from 30,000 to 300,000 new cases of this disease diagnosed each year and yet most doctors don’t think it’s a problem and even more don’t have a clue as to how to best treat it if it becomes chronic.
From the CDC.gov website Dr. Paul Mead states: “We know that routine surveillance only gives us part of the picture, and that the true number of illnesses is much greater,” said Paul Mead, M.D., M.P.H, chief of epidemiology and surveillance for CDC’s Lyme disease program. “This new preliminary estimate confirms that Lyme disease is a tremendous public health problem in the United States, and clearly highlights the urgent need for prevention.”
Lyme can also be transmitted through horse flies, mosquitos, fleas and other insect’s not just ticks. This is the reason that Lyme is so much more prevalent than originally thought.
Dr. Rick Sponaugle is an integrative physician who specializes in treating Lyme and who attempts a more precise diagnosis through quality forensic medicine. He performs an analysis and correlation of approximately 500 numerical biomarkers. This extensive evaluation enables Dr. Sponaugle to diagnose the underlying cause of his patient’s illness.
With emphasis on environmental medicine and tick-borne infections, Dr. Sponaugle specializes in treating brain and neurological disorders that are derived from severe neurotoxicity. The majority of his patients require simultaneous treatment for multiple medical disorders including: Mold Toxicity, Industrial Toxicity, Gut Toxicity, Lyme disease and several additional tick and mosquito-borne infections. These “stealth” infections commonly attack the brain and neurological system.
Dr. Sponaugle uses the experience he acquired from working in critical care medicine for 20 years and the expertise – derived from treating thousands of patients with brain and neurological disorders – to treat Lyme disease patients.
The World Health Organization has revealed new information stating that we don’t have an antibiotic resistance problem – it’s a biofilm problem. The drugs are not working because they are not effectively penetrating the biofilm these bugs spin to hide in and thus, the drugs don’t work and the problem gets worse.
