The greatest threat that is facing our country today is not from the outside but from the inside our own nation. Lincoln once said – “At what point, then, is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher.”

As surely as Lincoln made those remarks of our own destruction from within he could not have been more right. What Hitler and his Brown shirts achieved by spreading lies in town halls across Germany over the years we have been doing it in our very own educational institutions for many years. So much so many have had time to grow into parents and start even earlier with their own children.

What has sprouted from our youth today is full of anti-American values and discourse and as I just said, it can be tied directly to our educational system we call Public education. Only the most intelligent can reason themselves from years of Marxist and progressive programming our children receive. Unlike the positive aspects of understanding basic human needs it can be used in a twisted devious fashion. One of the greatest tools that the Marxist Left and big government progressives (control freaks) know about is human “Needs”. The Marxists/progressives most likely teach this concept of needs to its people and educators as they engage in propaganda of how to best supply and twist those people into an expected fashion; to get them to do what they want.

One current problem in Congress for the progressive mindset is why the so called conservative Republicans in congress can’t let go of forcing people to buy health insurance; it’s loss of control over you.

When I was in the United States Air Force attending Non-Commissioned Officers Leadership School (NCOLS), as far back as 1976, the principles of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs were taught to us. It was incumbent upon us to understand these human needs in order to better be prepared for supervisory roles we would fill as new Sergeants. To better understand our subordinates that may have an issue or unfilled need, to help them through it and to become better Airman in the process.

Abraham Maslow had a theory on how we as humans meet our human needs and he classified them in order from bottom to top in a pyramid fashion.

As you can see from the chart, as we meet the bottom needs we climb up a pyramid to satisfy higher needs. Even climbing up the pyramid chain we have to revisit a lower need, such as food, water and sleep. Because without satisfying a lower need we cannot climb to or stay with a higher need.

The Marxist and big government progressives are very aware how to appeal to our human needs and how to manipulate them to get people to perform the way they want. Those in the federal government and those who advise them have been bombarding Americans with their help, such as an expansive 99 weeks of unemployment checks years ago or through strangling businesses to lay off its employees thereby causing people to reach out for help causing massive increases in Welfare and food stamp recipients. This strategy of causing unemployment was played out by applying pressure on businesses with massive regulation compliance and programs. Basically, they are forcing you into accepting their assistance for a “Physiological Need” (Food Stamps/Welfare) and in some cases even “Safety Needs” (government section 8 housing).

What the government cannot do is meet all of your needs in a satisfactory manner. These needs are built-in to each of us and this is why forced government Socialism or Communism ultimately collapses as a replacement for a Free Market system causing widespread poverty. This is also why those countries that subscribe to Socialism or Communism have never matched the United States in power and wealth and never will. Venezuela today is racked with upheaval and poverty due to Socialism and corruption and has collapsed internally as a nation where thousands scrounge for any basic resources in order to survive and even killing dogs and cats to eat. However, we here in the United States have fallen quite a bit down the ladder of wealth and personal freedoms due to the federal government overreach of power and expansive social programs.

The government has no business meddling with the economy on such a wide scale, either through high taxation, massive regulation or expansive welfare programs. All you have to do is look around at the destruction of the economy and the increase of people on the government dole; all done on purpose. Those in the government live a far better life financially than most Americans do today; comfortably meeting their “higher needs”.

The Marxists and progressives also uses these Needs within our educational system just like a cattle prod to get one to comply with a certain way of thinking, add in those students already in-line and the K-16 student has little chance of success of resisting a Marxist mindset educators want one to follow. The “proof is in the pudding “, borrowing an old phrase, how else can we have safe spaces against opposing viewpoints along with “snowflakes” that cried easily when Clinton lost the Presidential election, with protests, violence and property damage. Today in the NFL players take a knee during our national anthem in protest of widely perceived social and political upheaval, so we have what we have poisoned, educated from the roots up.

We can realize now why the Marxists have been destroying the economy bit by bit and our people’s rational thought processes through brainwashing in education. After all they have a system that is much better, just look at how bad the economy is under Capitalism! By understanding how you personally “tick” on all the levels of “Need” you can combat the Left and ferret out their propaganda machine. Study the chart, “heck!” memorize it and know when you are being prodded a certain way.

A society with limited government involvement as intended from our U.S. Constitutional founding, while affording truthful and accurate education to our young will prepare them for the world while building a stronger and more prosperous America.
