A Major Sea Change

I cannot add a thing to the monumental good news of the past two days, except to note that America just made a major “Sea Change” from the weakness, indecision and obstruction by Obama’s programs of Marxist-Progressivism in foreign and domestic policy, to the reassuring, determined and decisive governing we now see springing onto the world stage.

First, the missile strike on Assad’s Syrian air force base was intended not only as punishment to a wicked adversary who used chemical weapons against his own citizens in violation of UN conventions against their use, but also as a warning notice to the other small picayune countries run by despots that pretend to be world shakers like Iran and North Korea, and even Russia and China, for all that. The good news is that America is under new leadership. Our allies are thrilled to see a restored America make its first major statement, “We’re back!”

Secondly, after three national elections in a row, the Democrat Party, Obama’s primary vehicle for imposing Progressive-Marxism on America, is now a mere shadow of its once omnipotent self. Mitch McConnell, invoking Harry Reid’s “nuclear option” put a decisive end to Democrat Progressive politics with the Gorsuch vote. Note to Sen. John McCain: it is no longer necessary to “reach across the aisle” to seek “bipartisan support” to move legislation forward. In fact, longer vacations for Senators and Representatives, are probably a good idea to prevent them from further meddling in domestic affairs they have no idea how to fix.

Harry Reid’s manipulation of the Senate’s voting rules came after he became Senate Majority leader. Sophistry was his hand maiden. Seeing the importance of pushing the Liberal-Progressive agenda that nobody wanted, he saw the only path forward to achievement was through judicial activism. With the example of the Democrats failure to prevent Clarence Thomas from ascending to the Supreme Court in 1991, his rule changes were designed to assure that a majority of only Democrat picked, Liberal-Marxist-Progressive jurists alone would fill the benches of US Federal and Appellate Courts for decades. Mitch McConnell, effectively swept those rules away in a moment.

Once, it was thought that Democrats would remain in power forever, with an occasional bone thrown to Republicans, the two Bush’s for example, intended to keep voters mollified. Of course, the secret to allowing Republicans a harmless presidential term or two was the creation of the corrupt deep state establishment, an over loaded government bureaucracy designed to ensure that favoritism ruled and that everyone was corrupted, including Republicans, who happily worked to keep it functioning. These are the “Never Trump’er’s”

Ronald Reagan scared the hell out of ‘em, an anomaly, but Bush senior, a “New World Order” proponent, quickly returned the ship of state back to its corrupt course. It was the Clintons, however, husband and wife, who brought the epitome of corruption to its near apogee of success by immediately, when they entered office, corrupting everything they touched. First they accused the White House Travel Office staff of theft, demanded the FBI files on their political enemies, sought to promote her single payer healthcare plan, and directed the IRS to harass and intimidate her enemies. Fortunately, It was the Speakership of Newt Gingrich and a Republican House, that made Bill Clintons presidency look even moderately successful.

In that presidential coupling (“we are the President”…Hillary), it became clear that Bill was a mere sexual drone to Hillary’s greedy grasp for power. As far as I’m concerned, Hillary has had her presidency and it’s over. When the Democrats did get back into power, they immediately started scheming to make sure conservatives had no chance of returning to effective leadership, hence the problems we have experienced until recently.

The elections of 2012 & 2014 were harbingers of the disaster that came to Democrats in 2016. The Left, comfortable in their smug aloofness, believe the tea leaves (polls) and considered it inconceivable that their beloved black president, Barack Obama, and his legacy, could ever be cast away. Well, it was and the fruits of that election are now making changes for the better.

In a paragraph above, I mentioned the new democrat party was Obama’s ‘primary’ vehicle for change. Well, it’s gone now and good riddance. Obama, if he entertains any hope of retaining any legacy at all, except one of failure, has lost the initiative and has only one trump card (no pun intended) left to play. He had better mount his secondary vehicle, his force of activist thugs, OFA, BLM, CPUSA anarchists, Black Panthers, socialist college students and, etc., etc.  and throw them into the fray. The cops should love it.

Things are finally moving our way, unless a spineless GOP leadership ruins it. Liberalism is not dead, only badly beaten up. They will revive themselves. We cannot let our guard down. Democrats are now in full organizing mode resuscitating their dispirited democrat voter base, the ones they ignored, while seeking candidates liberal enough to challenge conservative incumbents.

Democrats may lack leadership at the top (Tom Perez is a joke), and may lack capable candidates at the base, but they do have gobs of money to make the changes they think will bring them back into favor. They are on the ropes and we should help them stay there.

It’s only a strong, involved conservative organized grassroot response (Tea Parties), that can make it difficult for them. We must stay engaged.

Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, got get ‘em!
