Gratitude Without Servitude

A simple Thank You, doesn’t give away any power to the recipient of the words. Showing one’s grateful, isn’t a weakening kryptonite to the image we want others to see. Putting someone else’s feelings ahead of my own, doesn’t mean that I am a follower.
When did strength dictate boundaries for how we treat each other? Why do the words that we choose to eliminate from everyday interactions, continue to be the most damaging to our psyche?
It’s as easy as a smile and as difficult as that first morning sit up of a new year’s resolution. I am stronger for You and Your Actions today. Thank You.
