There are low fat diets, high fat diets, low carb diets, alkalizing diets; there is a diet for every need and every occasion! And what about this gluten free, sugar free, fat free business? It’s all so confusing and it doesn’t seem to be working either, truth is American’s are fatter than ever. There has to be a better way!
Is there a one size fits all diet that works for everyone?
Abigail Joy Dougherty says that eating real food and gradually changing over to a healthier diet is the answer to looking and feeling your best. And there is no one diet that works for everyone. We are all different.
Abigail Joy Dougherty is a registered dietician, and a weekly contributor and nutrition expert on WFLA News Channel 8 in Tampa, Florida. She works with businesses and sports teams to help them make better food and nutrition choices. Abigail talks about how we can get on the roller coaster ride of dieting and losing weight just to gain it all back, and more importantly, how unhealthy this is for our bodies. Then there is the guilt that comes with “falling off the diet wagon,” and we begin to look at food in a bad light. She wants to change all of this and help people gradually go back to a sensible way of eating real food and food that they like and start enjoying it again. She wants to change the way we look at food “one vegetable at a time.”
This is a common sense approach to eating that will help you to look good and feel better. It’s about time someone returned to a common sense way of eating and living.
