Companies with the greatest numbers of women in leadership roles perform the best financially, and the study found that female entrepreneurs are more likely to succeed than their male counterparts. This shouldn’t be surprising: Women still have to work harder to get the same recognition and pay as men, and are less likely than men to seek positions for which they may be under qualified. As a result, women who secure leadership roles are often significantly more qualified for the job than their male counterparts. On top of that, a recent Pew poll shows that over a third of Americans believe female politicians are better than men at working out compromises and being honest and ethical. Yet the United States lags far behind many countries when it comes to women in top political roles… why is that?

There can be no perfect female president. But there are so many women, right now, who could do a hell of a job. There is no need to wait. This is what equality means to me: giving women every chance to do the same fantastic, sometimes slightly flawed, job as we have always given men. Hell, women deserve the opportunity to be shitty presidents as often as men have! Because if we had waited for a perfect man to come along before we had elected him president, we’d never have had one single man elected to our highest office ever. Not a one.” These are the words of Caissie St. Onge.

Co-hosts Linda Martinelli and Jennifer Breedon say damn right ‘it’s time for a Woman President’. After an hour of arm twisting and pleading – guess where Malcolm went with this conversation…?
