Colonel Waurishuk was also Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence HQ NATO Air Command; Chief, Interagency Perception Management Task Force, JCS/Joint Staff political-military affairs officer and Chief Psychological Operations; Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Asymmetric Warfare Advisor, Asymmetric Warfare Task Force; three Combatant Command tours, and multiple select advisory positions within the national security and intelligence communities and interagency, and multi-national organizations.
Distinguished Senior Fellow as a National Defense Fellows (War College) serving on the Atlantic Council staff, Washington, DC (and continues to serves as a consultant-advisor for international security affairs to the Atlantic Council). Key assignments and deployed areas of operations in over 50 countries in support of critical intelligence and third world — supporting symmetric, counter-terror, and unconventional/special operations-low intensity operations and activities. Served at critical levels of responsibility in the Middle East, Central/Southwest Asia, Horn of Africa, Europe, Eastern Mediterranean, and Latin America areas of operations directing or supporting U.S. national and regional intelligence contingency operations and activities, and international engagement programs. In depth experience on the Middle East, Central/Southwest Asia and radical terrorism and counter terrorism.
