The Criminal Justice System Is Not Always Just

Despite the incredible good it does, the criminal justice system is not always just," says Retired FBI Special Agent Robert Cromwell. I'll discuss the system and his new book, along with this... more police officers have died in the line of duty this year, then have been killed in all of 2016 in the war torn areas of Afghanistan and Iraq. Host Randy Sutton dedicates this episode and speaks about the five Law Enforcement Officers killed in one 24 hour period this week.

We’ve all seen how the criminal justice system is portrayed on TV. From NCIS and Law & Order to White Collar and Cops, we’re led to believe that we know how the system works. But how much do we really know about what goes on? Author Robert Cromwell has actually been there, behind the lines, searching for truth and justice–and finding that they are not always easily connected.

Cromwell details his own story–his work as a New Jersey police officer and NCIS agent, and his twenty-two-year FBI career–looking at some of his more interesting cases along the way and giving us the chance to see inside the day-to-day workings of an agent’s life. Cromwell goes onto explain how we come to understand why, despite the incredible good it does, the criminal justice system is not always just.

Retired FBI Special Agent Robert Cromwell is the author of the new book “Fugitive Man”. Bob speaks about his amazing law enforcement career busting some of Americas most violent criminals and then joining the “Innocence Project” to free wrongly convicted men and women from prison. He is Board Chair, retired as Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Jacksonville Division after nearly a 30-year career in law enforcement. During his career, Bob received numerous commendations from the Director of the FBI for his investigative accomplishments, primarily in the field of Violent Crime. He is also a former Navy Cryptology Technician, a New Jersey Police Officer and a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Today, he is owner of a Security and Investigative Consulting firm and is co-owner of PoliceCommunity.net, which provides online training for police officers throughout the nation
