Fourteen year-old Ella Fields was tasked to develop a short film for her class at Cinematic Arts Academy at Millikan Middle School in Los Angeles. She had to think long and hard as to what her driving passion for the project would be. “One of the first things that popped into my head was gender stereotypes, and how I truly believe that anyone can wear whatever they want, and how colors should not have any gender associated with them; they are just colors,” says Ella.
Watch the SHORT FILM and then listen to the show!
“I mainly just wanted to raise awareness of how stereotypes are meaningless,” Fields says. “Girls can do anything boys can do, and boys can do anything we can, too.” The short film and the lessons will break all the barriers. Why do we limit ourselves? How do we overcome the limitations in our minds? Co-hosts Taz Thornton, DrFaye Wilson, Shawna Peters and Jenna Smith explore all the possibilities that will convince you to be limitless.
