This was long overdue – a show that might finally put to rest ‘the rise and fall and rise again’ of reality shows as a thriving medium of human feelings in overdose mode. It simpler days – we might recall the The Miss America Pageant and MTV Real World as the earlier pioneers of this voyeurism, vocal overload and lost on Fantasy Island industry. 

Why are reality shows so popular? Do people really see themselves in these shows? Why does voyeurism seem to be a legitimate pastime? Why do we get pleasure in seeing other people’s lives being in turmoil?
